Another Hodgepodge...

Wow, where did this week go?  I can't believe it is time for Wednesday Hodgepodge already.  We would love for you to join in, just click on the button above and hop over by Joyce, she does a wonderful job with this meme!  You will be glad you did and remember to link up so we can all enjoy your answers!
Here are mine...

1.  What makes you stand to your feet and cheer?
There are several things that have that effect on me.  If there is a parade: a flag passing or veterans passing does that for me.  Also, just last Sunday at church a man sang "There Is A River" without music and he was amazing.  You could feel the spirit and we stood and clapped.

2. What's your favorite patriotic song?
God Bless America.  I love this version by Martina McBride.  You can listen to it here.

3.  Do you believe that opposites attract?  If you have a significant other are you opposites?
Yes I do.  We have a lot of things we are the same on but a whole lot that we are opposite.  For example:  I tend to be organized, him not so much;  He is always early, I am usually on time or a few minutes late;  I read directions, he asks: It had directions?  So yeppers I would go with opposites attract.

4.  You're going to get a behind the scenes look someplace... where would you like that someplace to be?
This is a hard one, I really can't think of anything.  Maybe behind the scenes of a movie set or a concert.

5.  How far would you have to travel to ride a carousel(merry-go-round)?
I would think probably the closest one would be Branson.  I am sure they have one at Silver Dollar City.  Branson is 57 miles from our house and Silver Dollar City is on the other end of town.

6.  When was the last time you seen fireworks?  What was the occasion?  Do you enjoy fireworks?
The last time I seen them was last 4th of July with my sweet hubby.  We love watching them and always take our chairs and join the crowd in our little town.

7.  Of all the beauty products you own what item do you consider to be the most overpriced?
Moisturizers, a good moisturizer is always overpriced in my book.  They know we will not live without our moisturizer!

8.  Random Thought.
This has been a crazy week.  My daughter has not been feeling well and is having a few tests tomorrow, an echo-cardiogram and a stress test.  Please remember her in prayer.

until next time... nel

  6. Love a good song sang during church, whether a special or during worship!

The behind scenes of a movie set would be a lot of fun! I bet we'd be suprised by all the details.

I LOVE Silver Dollar City!! Love it! Went there several times as a kid. We stopped as we traveled from WI to CA (a move) in 1996 so my kids could see what I enjoyed as a kid. They loved it too. It would be great to visit the Ozarks again.

Hope your daughter has nothing serious going on. Said a prayer on her behalf!

    Happy 4th!

  7. I love Martina McBride - and from what I know about her, she seems very grounded. I love her song "Independence Day" - although it's not at all patriotic.
