BOOK REVIEW: Plain Wisdom

Plain Wisdom written by Cindy Woodsmall and Miriam Flaud invites us into the lives of an Old Order Amish and an Englischer.  This book gives the ladies a chance to share their views and their hearts on different subject matters.  Some of these include:  The Rhythm of Life, Timeless Beginnings, Challenges Great and Small, among others.

Both women realize that even though their lives are different we are all faced with the same trials and obstacles in life.  These ladies become close friends despite the differences in their lifestyles.  Throughout the book Miriam has included several Amish recipes that look delicious.

This was a good book but it was not quite what I expected.  I felt like to many different areas were covered, making it hard to understand and follow what was going on.

I received this book free from WaterBrook Multnomah Publishing as part of their Blogging for Books program. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
