It is that fun time of the week, time for Wednesday Hodgepodge. If you would like to join in, click on the button above and jump over by Joyce and get the original questions, then of course don't forget to link up so we can all enjoy your answers. It really is a lot of fun and a great way to meet new blogging friends. So without further hesitation, here we go:
1. What is one thing on your bucket list? If you don't have a bucket list let's pretend you do.
I would think almost everyone has a bucket list, maybe not an actual written list, but a list in the back of your mind of things you would like to accomplish. I have several, but she just said one... hmmmm. I would love to go on an Alaskan Cruise. Talk about pictures...lolol.
2. What makes a good dad?
I think it is more than making a good living for the family, because not all dads are able due to health issues. I think it is the feeling of security, knowing they are there no matter what. Someone who spends time with his family and loves them and enjoys them. Someone who shows his kids that their mom is a special woman. Someone who listens, and directs without being overbearing, who gives their honest opinion, but does it in a way that shows love. Someone who leads them spiritually also and puts God first.
3. Are you afraid of insects? Which ones?
Not so much, as long as I have my handy dandy wasp spray that shoots from long distance. Although there is one type that gives me the heebie-jeebies. June Bugs... yuck! I hate those things, if they are around the door, I will make a mad dash to get past them. And lo and behold if one lands on me, I will have a runaway. Just saying...
4. We're barbecuing... what's on the grill at your house?
Actually, we are barbecuing tonight (Tuesday), and it would be hamburgers. I love burgers on the grill however, my hubby is getting pretty good with those steaks too. Mmmmmm good!
5. Do you believe that playing is more important than winning?
Yes I do. It doesn't matter who wins, what matters is taking time to do something together.
6. Do you tan? Use self-tanners? Visit tanning salons? See your dermatologist at least once a year?
No, No, No, No. I burn even when I use sunscreen. I probably should try the self tanner, however my skin is so sensitive, it would probably cause problems. And the salons are out, pacemakers usually do not like those kinds of machines. I probably should see the dermatologist, I have problems with a dry scalp and eczema on the back of my neck.
7. Five years ago I would never imagine that today I would ______.
...be married again and living in Missouri.
What happened to Spring? We went from cold weather to summer... I have been busy but did I miss something?
Well... that is it for this week folks. Have a good one!
until next time... nel
