BOOK REVIEW: Miracles Are For Real

Miracles do still happen!
Miracles Are For Real (What Happens When Heaven Touches Earth) by James L. Garlow and Keith Wall explores that thought.

There are true believers, people who have witnessed miracles in their own lives and they know without as doubt that blessing came from God, and there are skeptics who dissect everything.  They believe there is a scientific reason for everything.  This book explores both sides of the coin and gives stories and examples to back up their thoughts.  It also discusses miracles from the Bible and looks at them closely.

I have mixed feelings about this book, but I always do when it comes to scientific explanations, that always tends to turn me away.  It was basically a good book; it took me a while to read it, there is a lot of information in it.  I enjoyed the different accounts of people and their divine intervention.  I would recommend it to other people.

For more information about this book or to read an excerpt go here.

I received this book free from Bethany House a division of Baker Publishing Group as part of their Blogger Review program. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.

until next time... nel

  1. Yeah I hate when science ruins my fairy tales.

  2. There's no real contradiction between those who believe God is the source of all miracles, and those who claim there's a scientific explanation to everything.
How come? Well, God stands behind science too. Scientists, like doctors are His messengers.

  3. I started to read this book to review for Bethany House; I did find it interesting; I just felt overwhelmed at the time to finish it plus another book I had to do for them because it was right after my in-laws died (they died within a month of each other) and I just couldn't get it all done, LOL, that had to get done. The one other, James Garlow, is a pastor of one of the local churches here.
