L is for Like-minded...

L is for Like-minded

The online definition is:

: having a like disposition or purpose

: of the same mind or habit of thought

The Webster’s Desk Dictionary defines like-minded as:

: having a similar opinion, disposition, etc.

Looking at these definitions it is safe to say that like-minded is two or more people who have the same beliefs or values or opinions.  It is important for church members to be like-minded.

‘Can two walk together, except they be agreed?’          Amos 3:3

‘If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies, fulfil ye my joy, that ye be like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.’     Philippians 2:1-2

As Christians we need to work together with one heart and one purpose.  We need to care for the problems of others as if they were our own, demonstrating Christ’s love.  We need to be more Christ-like.
