Hodgepodge Pressure...

Hodgepodge it is! Come on join the fun you know you want to!

1. May is National Blood Pressure Month...what sends yours soaring, either literally or figuratively? What calms you down? When did you last have your bp checked?
Gosh I think probably parents yanking their kids around, and kids not listening to their parents sends the bp soaring.  There is a right way to discipline and the ones not listening usually have not been disciplined correctly.  To calm down I either read scripture if I am where I can or sing a song from church to myself, or count my blessings.  I was at the Dr. about 3 weeks ago and they checked it then.  120/72 I might add.  Yeah me!

2. You just found $1-what do you spend it on? How about 10$ 100?

You can't get a lot for $1 anymore, I would probably just put it in my purse or pocket.  $10 - probably would hold on to it for a rainy day.  $100 - Might have to go to Hobby Lobby, I can always find something there!  lol.

3. Mandatory labeling of genetically engineered (GE) food has been proposed, but not enacted in the US. How much attention do you give food labels before you buy? Are you in favor of labeling if it means an increase in food prices? Is this an issue you've been following and feel strongly about, or is this the first you've heard of the controversy?
I do read labels a lot more than I used to.  Actually to be honest this is the first I have heard about it.

4. May 15th marks the birthdate of Frank Baum, author of The Wizard of Oz. At this point in time, are you more in need of brains, courage, heart, or a trip back home? Explain.
A trip back home.  I consider home Arkansas and I am missing my daughter and my grandkids.  My daughter is beginning to show and I have to see how cute she looks.

5. "There's no place like home" is an oft repeated line from Baum's book. When was the last time you felt the truth of that statement?
Every time we go to Arkansas I feel that way, but after a couple weeks it is always good to get home to Willard.  Nothing like your own bed that you are used too.

6.  Steak...yes please or no thank you? What cut do you prefer and how do you like yours cooked? Sauce or no sauce? Besides your own kitchen, where's a place you like to go to get a great steak?
YES!  I love steak, I am not real picky as long as it is not tough.  I love me a good T-bone, or Porterhouse.  I like it medium, where there is some pink still there.  No sauce, do not want to cover the taste of the steak.  We go to a place called Texas Roadhouse and they are just pretty good!

7. When was the last time you were in a genuine hurry?
I really can't remember.  Since I do not work and Stan is retired, we take it one day at a time and enjoy life.

8.  Insert your own random thought here.

Headed to Arkansas this Friday!  We have decoration where my parents are buried on Sunday.  The following Friday Janice is having a sonogram done and we get to go and see the little guy (or girl).  Then on the following Tuesday my grandson Cain is graduating from the 6th grade.  Where has the time gone?  We will be gone 2 weeks and Eden Jade will have 4 ball games that we will get to watch.  Life is good!

until next time...nel

  4. You've got the BP of an 18 year old girl! Good for you.

Your template is very eye-catching! I like the yellow color and the geometric forms.
