Just have something I need to share with everyone, who knows someone might benefit from this little bit of information.
For those of you who know me, you know that I have been plagued for the last 12 – 14 years with an itchy scalp. Yes, the dreaded dandruff. At times it itched so bad, it would drive me crazy, and it can be very embarrassing. I mean we are not talking about a few little flakes; we are talking about huge ones. And it was constant, from the time I got up to the time I went to bed. A snowstorm, or that is how it felt. I would joke about it, but it would tear me up on the inside. Yes, I have tried all the different shampoos on the market, even the $80 shampoos prescribed by the doctor, but nothing worked. Nothing would ease the itching or the embarrassment.
I found an article talking about dandruff cures, while searching on the Internet. This was one I had never seen before. It seems back in the late 1920’s, Listerine was advertised as a dandruff cure. So I thought, Ok it is worth a try.
I went over to our local store and picked up a bottle of original strength Listerine for $3.50. $3.50 mind you not $80.00 and the bottle is bigger. Saturday evening I poured a little on my scalp, rubbing it in. It felt tingly and good, and eased the itching. Sunday morning after my shower while my hair was still wet, I saturated my scalp with the Listerine. I used it again Sunday night rubbing it in to my scalp. I could already tell a big difference, the itching had almost stopped and my scalp felt better than it had in a long time. I have used it twice a day and two times after washing my hair. Of course when I used it then, it did burn a little, but nothing I couldn’t handle. I have to say today I was amazed, when I felt the back of my scalp, it actually feels smooth. It does not feel scaly, ridged or dry. And I am not leaving snow in my chair when I get up. It is such a wonderful feeling and all for $3.50. Thank you God for answering prayers!

ReplyDeleteNothing's worse than that itching. I have very dry, itchy skin..especially in the winter. It drives me crazy. I use all kinds of washes and lotions. I also have chronic hives, so I am continually on Zyrtec. Maybe I need to BATHE in Listerine!

yes- this is a wonder hint that papa hubby found out as he had flakes too and itch- and you can use SCOPE TOO( the one that has a percentage of alcohol) and it also works for stinky clean feet- sponge some on - rest for a minute and rinse it off- and also for armpits -a lot of folks are clean but have these problems do to sweat glands- this takes away bateria that cause the smell- hugs form Meme who has mouth wash in a spray bottle so I can use as needed
