We had a wonderful time in Arkansas. Eden Jade spent 5 nights with us. She thought it was pretty cool; she slept with Granny on the big bed and Pappo slept on the couch. Amazing what we do for our kids and grandkids. She is getting taller and is losing her baby look. I look at her some times and tears fill my eyes. She is such a blessing! She has come so far…
The first night she stayed with us when we went to bed, she wanted me to sing to her. And I asked her what did she want me to sing Jesus Loves Me? or You Are My Sunshine? or and she said no Granny, the Eden song. I had to think a minute then I remembered I had sung it to her one time when I was rocking her…basically a little tune that I make up as I go… Granny’s got a baby, such a pretty baby; Granny’s got an Eden, such a pretty Eden…and so on. I was surprised that she remembered it. I used to sing it to Janice when she was a baby only with Mommy. I told Jan about it the next day and she said “that is funny because I sang that to her when she was in Children’s Hospital before I could even hold her and then after when I would rock her.” You never know what children remember and what is special to them.
I know what is special to me and that is March of Dimes. They are all about research and Premature Births. Without their research and God’s Hand my grandbaby would not be here. We are walking again this year in Little Rock for March of Dimes. If you are interested, please click on the banner and join us in saving another baby! Any amount is not too little! We appreciate all donations! If you can’t sponsor us for whatever reason, please remember us in your prayers.
