Wonders of God

My passion is photography.  I love capturing what God has blessed us with in pictures.  I love photographing anything and everything in nature.  I believe there is a message in everything God gives us.

‘The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handiwork.’     Psalm 19:1

While at my grandson’s graduation cookout I stumbled upon this weed as some would call it and I had to take a picture. I believe it is a type of thistle.  It was growing out of a crack on the rocky ledge of the creek, and I wondered how something so pretty could be a weed.  I knew God had to have a hand in it.

Looking closely at it, the lavender puffballs are tiny spindles radiating from the stem; there is so much detail.  It is so pretty.  You can see the small green grape like buds that have not blossomed as of yet.  How can something so simple be so involved?

I can’t help but wonder if this might be a reminder of how we are at times.  Perhaps at first glance of people we form opinions, some of us tend to criticize the way they dress, or the vehicle they drive.  We might even go as far as labeling them low-lifes, druggies, or even worse.  If we make the effort to look closer, to really get to know them, and show them the Love of God, we might see the beauty of another Child of God.  We never know someone’s true potential until we look closer and see what’s inside.

‘I said in mine heart, God shall judge the righteous and the wicked: for there is a time there for every purpose and for every work.’     Ecclesiastes 3:17

So how about you, do you give people the benefit of the doubt?  Do you look for the beauty inside a person, or do you cast judgment first thing?

‘And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.  He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him:  the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day. For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.’    John 13:47-49

until next time…nel

  1. Just checking in on you. Beautiful post. We all judge each other and that stinks. If God, who is all righteousness, can see our worthiness then we, mere human peons, should too.

I can't create a shortcut because of your copywright alert. Bummer.
