BOOK REVIEW: The Polygamist's Daughter

Have you ever wondered what living in a cult would be like?  Dive in to this great book and get a first hand look at Anna Le Baron’s life.  What was life like with forty-nine siblings?  This is Anna’s story, from sleeping on a foam mattress, to sleep being interrupted in the middle of the night by the FBI.  Life was not normal, or at least not normal by our standards. Ervil Lebaron was Anna’s father who was a well-known polygamist and murderer that was wanted by the FBI.  Their families were always on the run, never staying in one place for a long time. Anna never felt like she could measure up, she never felt loved or that she belonged.  Would she ever be able to break the cycle?  Could she find true love?  Grab this book, a box of tissue and find the answers to those questions and many more. Included at the end of this book is a section of Snapshots and Q & A with Anna, these are very interesting.

I enjoyed this book; I had a hard time putting it down.  I guess it intrigued me because it involves the LDS Mormon church.  I am proud to say the modern day church no longer believe in polygamy and for this I am grateful.  This book is well written and will keep your interest.  Don’t miss out!

I have received a complimentary copy of this book from Tyndale House Publishers in exchange for my honest review.

until next time...nel
