It is time for Wednesday Hodgepodge, if you would like to join in just click on the button above and grab the questions to answer on your blog. It's a lot of fun!
People that are in a hurry and think they need to be first at everything and will not stand in line.
2. Would you describe yourself as a light packer or do you need everything in your closet plus the kitchen sink?
Well you know you never know what you might need. Need I say more! lol
3. What's the best lesson a child ever taught you?
To try and see life through their eyes. They see the good in everything.
4. Share one piece of advice you'd give a recent graduate as they attempt to enter the job market?
Don’t expect to start out at the top of the ladder, you have to start at the bottom and work your way up, and don’t expect to get the perfect job the first time around.
5. What's your favorite lemon something?
I am not much on lemon, I would say fresh lemonade like my momma used to make.
6. Flat sandal, wedge, heel...your favorite footwear?
Flat slip on sandal or flip flops.
7. What do you like best about a beach holiday? If you're not a beach lover (GASP!!) what do you dislike the least?
Listening to the water and watching the sunset. I also love looking for shells while walking barefoot in the sand at the edge of the water. Can we go now?
8. Insert your own random thought here.
I have a follow-up appointment on Thursday of this week. It seems to be healing nicely and the pacemaker seems to be working fine. I have to say taking the bandage off each day hurts worse than the surgery. I have a few places where the tape pulled skin. Ouch!
Well that's it hope you have a great Mother's Day ladies!
until next time... nel
Great advice on #4.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to hear you're healing well. (except for the tape part).
I can feel the pain!!! Oh yes...I can feel it as I read your thought.
ReplyDeleteAs for seeing the good as a child does, I so agree with that.
Now, I can't help myself...sorry if it offends you, but your mother WEARS lemonade? See?---I told you....sorry. Or, on second thought, are you testing us to see if we are really READING your answers.
OUTDOOR SEASIDE SCULPTURES is my link for today.
Hope your Wednesday will be a glorious one, all day long!!
I love walking on the beach looking for shells! I'm ready to go if you are!

Oh, that tape is the worst! Had my annual physical on Monday and they had to draw some blood. The nurse put a piece of gauze over the spot and dressed it with tape. It took hide, hair and all off!
ReplyDeleteGlad your recovery is going well.
ReplyDeleteI love your answer to question 3--so true!
I completely agree with #1. Some people are just crazy when it comes to waiting in line!
ReplyDeleteYes children do see the good in everything. So when do we leave for the beach? Sounds perfect. Glad to hear your doing well. Have a Happy Mother's day too.
ReplyDeleteThat's great advice on #4 I think that too often people expect to start out way to high up on the ladder. They forget that the climb is also an important learning tool.
ReplyDeleteI hope that you get to the point where the tape isn't as painful.
Note to Hootin Anni You passed, very good! LOLOL Now maybe it was a new perfume or something. lol It was very late when I typed all of that. Appreciate you telling me, I have it corrected now. thanks!

I'm ready to go to the beach with you!! :)
ReplyDeleteGlad your healing.
Love your answer about kids getting a start in the job market; so true!
ReplyDeleteI love the beach. I'd go with you. :)
I'm so glad everything went well. I had prayed for you several times in April and then missed it on the first, but the Lord knew! I hope you heal up quickly and without too much pain from the skin/tape. Ouch!
4 - Very good advice!
ReplyDeleteI remember when I was a fresh worker I was told this: Hard work won't kill you. Co-workers might as they'll try to exploit you. Beware of them!
5 - In the morning, I usually squeeze a small lemon and drink its juice undiluted. It prevents a sore throat and maybe other problems too.
6. My favorite footwear - Crocks.
LOL about packing :) Always good to be prepared just in case :)
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you are healing pretty much okay and on schedule. Sorry about the bandage discomfort though!
