Talk about random, this is going to be it!
First of all we lost a very special lady yesterday. Aunt Rachel, she was my daughter's g-great aunt. I still considered her my aunt also, you just can't throw away 18 years. Everyone needs an Aunt Rachel in their family! My daughter has fond memories of her, enjoying her strawberries, little cucumbers and raw green peas in the garden and she always had cookies baked. No one could make gingerbread men like her or fresh yeast rolls. She was an Aunt to everyone, even neighborhood kids. She will be missed by many, but Heaven is sweeter today!
I received good news, the polyp they found was benign and I do not need another test for 10 years! Woo-Hoo!
We have a new pastor at our church. I believe the Lord is truly blessing us, He also sent us a new piano player and song leader. A couple that were looking for a new church stopped by and have filled the gaps! PTL! I think everyone is feeling the spirit, you can actually hear people singing now. It is such a great feeling! The pastor and his wife seem like wonderful people. He is a fairly new preacher and you can just feel his enthusiasm and excitement. Sometimes the Lord will take what we feel is a bad thing and truly turn it into a blessing!
My daughter had a funny feeling the other day in the pit of her stomach, so she texted her hubby and told him how much she loved him and what a good husband and dad he was. Also thanked God for him. At about the same time, he was on a 4 wheeler at work. He works for the Forestry Commission and they were doing a controlled burn on the mountain. He was going down the side of it when his 4 wheeler started picking up to much speed, he gradually put on the brakes, but they caught. It flipped the 4 wheeler with him on it. He was fine, a little sore, and a cut on his knee, but Praise God he was ok. I think this is just proof when we get one of those feelings, we do not need to ignore it. We need to adhere to the Holy Spirit's leading!
I have two prayer requests I need everyone to remember. First of all a friend of ours had open heart surgery this week. They were going in to replace a valve but found the main aorta also needed replacing along with a blockage that they found after they went in. The doctor said if they had not done the surgery he probably would not of lasted another week or two, scary stuff. Please remember Mike and his wife Sue in your prayers. He seems to be doing well with his recovery but it will be awhile before he is back in full force, and he is going to need our prayers.
My other prayer request is for a friend that I used to work with. She had recently got married and was so excited because she was going to have a baby. Unfortunately, she delivered last night, she was only 20-22 weeks along. I believe it was a boy, which weighs 1 lb 6 oz and is 12 inches long. I seen a picture and his little hand fits inside her wedding ring. Please remember all of them in prayer. It is amazing what they can do now with premies! Please pray for this situation, only God knows what is best!
I am sorry about the length of this post, and the fact that I was all over the place but I did warn you it was random. Thank you my dear blogging friends for your prayers and just being here.
until next time... nel

I always enjoy "random" blogs - it seems to show insight into a person's heart. I "see" you have great love for others - what a lovely thing. I'm sorry to hear about Aunt Rachel. I know she will be missed.
