It’s Random Dozen time again. Don’t be a chicken, join in this week it is a lot of fun. You can get the questions and then link up at Lid’s place over by 2nd Cup of Coffee.
Here we go…
1. How do you feel about the marshmallow Easter Peeps?
Peeps, not so much. I have never liked them; I think it is the texture, or maybe the thought of eating a baby chicken. I know I am weird! My daughter, however, is another story. She loves them; in fact I am sending her some in the mail with the kids Easter goodies. Shhhhhh… don’t tell her!
2. Chickens are notoriously nervous creatures. When you are nervous, what is the best way to calm down?
Counting sometimes helps, reading my bible, or talking to someone, listening to music, or writing in my journal.
3. People say, "April showers bring May flowers." Do you enjoy Spring rains?
I love spring rains, as long as it is not storming. Nothing like a nice steady rain with the sun shining, then searching for the rainbow, or going out and splashing in the puddles with your grandchildren.
They would have to kill me first I do not like tattoos. Sorry…
5. Would you rather have a tattoo (any kind) or a nose ring?
See above and I feel the same about nose rings. You know if that is what someone else likes, that is their business, but neither one is for me!
6. Do you have any special plans for Easter?
No special plans, besides church. We hid eggs with Eden Jade this last week.
7. Cadbury Eggs or Reese Eggs?
If I had to pick it would be Reese Eggs. Cadbury Eggs kinda gross me out. Or the ones I had before that look like a raw egg. Yuck!
8. What was the last thing/person you took a picture of?
I would love to say it was my grandbaby Eden Jade last night, but actually it was the Full Moon. It was sooooo pretty!
9. What book are you reading now, or what was the last one?
I am reading “Beautiful Things Happen When A Woman Trusts God” by Sheila Walsh. So far it is really good.
10. What do you think is the most difficult task when it comes to Spring cleaning?
Taking down the blinds and washing them. They are a pain and one of my pet peeves!
11. How many pairs of flip-flops do you own?
Probably 2 or 3. I also have a silver flip-flop pendant with Coca Cola on it and a little diamond that I received for Christmas. I love Coke stuff, I guess you could say am a collector, and that was a very special addition plus a neat necklace!
12. Which color makes you happiest?
I really think yellow, I usually do not wear it but it does make me happy. Reminds me of sunshine. And what is better than the sun shining?
Now was that not fun? Hope all of you have a wonderful Easter!
Just for the record, we had a wonderful time in Arkansas. Eden Jade is getting so big and amazes me every day with words she uses. I will try to post some pictures this next week and share some of her funny stories. We are probably off and running again tomorrow. Stan’s sis passed away and we are headed to Omaha for her funeral. That is if they do not do Patt’s (Stan’s niece that lives with us) surgery this week. She has an appointment in the morning with the surgeon.
I will try to catch up with reading blogs this next week, so much to do, so little time. Just kidding, that is all I have is time!
until next time… nel
I have a flip-flop necklace too! Me too with the blinds. Have a wonderful Easter.
ReplyDeleteThat flip-flop necklace sounds really cool! Hope you have a great Easter!
ReplyDeleteI forgot about blinds...I hate having to wash those things! Yellow is such a happy color, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a happy visit with your granddaughter.
ReplyDeleteI love the moon photo-that's beautiful!
Have a happy Easter!
Great answers. I have a ton of blinds to clean. ugh. Easter Blessings, SusanD
ReplyDeleteHope you have an awesome Easter Week.
ReplyDeleteI don't wear yellow either. But painted our bathroom yellow and then the kitchen, next is the dining room.
ReplyDeleteI picked yellow too and I'm reading the same book you are right now. Isn't it really good.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on the tatoos and noserings!
ReplyDeleteI do enjoy marshmallow peeps though.
I love flip flop necklaces, I have one and a pair of earrings to match, very fun summer jewelry. I have always loved splashing in puddles and I always encouraged my kids to do it when other mothers were telling their kids to stay out of them. It must be because when I was in Kindergarten I had to go stand by the wall for recess because I splashed in a puddle...I remember that very vividly. Puddles are meant for splashing!!
ReplyDeleteFirst love the new look! Very springy!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat photo of the moon!
Happy rest of the week!
Blessings

Wow, you've been busy and looks like no let-up in sight. Safe travels if you end up going to the funeral!
ReplyDeleteI've seen so many say cleaning the mini blinds for #10. Guess I should be glad we don't have any :-)
Look forward to seeing photos of your grandchild!
I'm so sorry about Stan's sister. I'm praying for a safe trip for you two to Omaha.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you, sista, on #1, #4, and #5!!!
Blessings,
Beth
I do not like peeps either! But bring on the chocolate chickies! That is what I am talkin' bout! :)
ReplyDeleteYou should try microwaving the peeps. Or freezing them. Or eating them stale. Yum!
ReplyDeleteHi Nel! Your blog is so cheery looking! :-)
ReplyDeleteWashing the blinds is a killer! Is there not an easier way to get them clean? Help!
Have a blessed Easter! ((HUGS))
Wow, you and I have almost the same answers regarding tattoos, nose rings, and the color yellow.
ReplyDeleteI hate cleaning blinds, too ... I'd almost rather buy new ones once a year!
